Independent consultant

Margot Bezzi has worked for the last three years as project and policy officer at the DG CONNECT of the European Commission dealing mainly with e-Inclusion and e-Health policy areas, including sectors as Ambient Assisted Living, patient empowerment, and active and healthy ageing. Currently works as independent consultant following her main interest for the impact and implications of Internet and new technologies on societal organization and the individual. More in particular she is dealing with participative policy-making processes, online engagement, and social innovation processes and solution, including their contribution in the definition of sustainable smart cities. 

Margot has a Master degree in Media Studies and Communication Science from the University of Bologna, where she graduated in 2004 with a thesis on digital divide and the right to access information in the knowledge society.
