As the impact of social media becomes more relevant, there is an increasing concern that social media —and also technology in general, and particularly Artificial Intelligence— might be replicating or even amplifying existing gender discrimination, prejudices and stereotypes. Identifying the causes might help preventing the negative impact of such technological developments.
