The European Commission has launched a public stakeholder consultation which will feed into the interim evaluation of Horizon 2020, the EU's €77 billion research and innovation funding scheme (2014-2020). The evaluation will help improve the functioning of Horizon 2020, and will also be an important element in preparations of a next EU research and innovation programme. Read more

In accordance with the Regulation establishing Horizon 2020, the Commission, assisted by independent experts selected on the basis of a transparent process, shall carry out by the end of 2017 an interim evaluation of Horizon 2020. This interim evaluation will address questions of efficiency, effectiveness, EU added value, relevance and coherence. Read more

The European Commission launched today a call for proposals under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Telecom Programme, earmarking €10.5 million of EU funding for the deployment of broadband networks and European Digital Service Infrastructures (DSIs).
