After almost four years, the e-SENS Large Scale Pilot project is coming to an end. The objective of thisconference is to celebrate a milestone on the way towards a Digital Single Market, in particular the shift from a "piloting" to a "go live" phase for EU cross-border digital public services. The conference will be opened by Vice-President Andrus Ansip and will bring together the European and international (mainly from Asia/Pacific and America) eGovernment community represented by Public Administrations, decision makers, IT managers, IT Industry and other parties involved. The European Commission has opened today a call for proposals under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) to stimulate and support the deployment of European Digital Service Infrastructures (DSIs). Up to €27.5 million will be made available to meet the needs of public administrations, businesses and citizens in their cross-border activities. The deadline for submitting proposals is 18 May 2017. The eDelivery Cost Estimation tool is now available to assess and quantify the expected benefits of reusing CEF (Connecting Europe Facility) eDelivery.
This tool can be used by any type of project considering the reuse of eDelivery. There are significant benefits of reusing eDelivery from reduced risk and costs to improved quality. These benefits are key elements to every business case, and are therefore decisive factors in the decision of projects or policy domains to use CEF eDelivery.
The EU wide Once-Only Principle can have a big impact in making life of citizens and businesses easier across the EU and could contribute to Digital Single Market (study reference: SMART 2015/0062). Read more
The TOOP project is part of the EU eGovernment Action Plan 2016-2020 and will contribute towards increasing the efficiency of the Digital Single Market.
