  • Study on monitoring e-accessibility (SMART 2008-0066)

    The study aims to monitor the status and progress of e-accessibility. The main tasks are to: Task 1: Provide an “e-accessibility implementation report” on the current status of the e-accessibility situation in selected countries based on both the legislative and the non-legislative environment. This task includes an annual reporting of the active status of e-accessibility. Task 2: Ensure a direct and active interaction with relevant actors involved in implementing and monitoring e-accessibility in practice. This task includes the organisation of workshops to collect information for task 1 and task 3 from correspondents and to stimulate the exchange of experience between decision makers in selected countries building on the findings of task 3. Task 3: Define, develop and apply a benchmarking framework for monitoring and comparing progress over time and between countries on e-accessibility through the approaches and mechanisms cited above. Particular attention will be paid to web accessibility. Further to the non award of the contract, this call has reopened.

  • Procurement of Study of EU policy questions in the ICT area to 2015

    The Government of Sweden is tendering a study on the most important policy questions in the area of ICT and information society that the EU is facing in the years 2010 to 2015. The assignment includes independent study and analysis of present trends in the field of ICT and information society, as well as gathering the views of key stakeholders in this area. The objective is to identify policy issues for a new ICT agenda for Europe up to 2015. The report is to be completed by September 2009 and will be used for discussions in a conference on the future ICT agenda for Europe, organised by the Swedish Presidency in the fall of 2009.

  • Study on the entrepreneurial dimension of cultural and creative industries.

    The aim of the study is to better understand the workings and specific needs of enterprises, particularly SMEs, in cultural and creative industries. The study must focus on environmental factors, especially regulatory, that influence the development of these enterprises, and also on the issue of access to funding and entry barriers. Particular attention must be given to research and development.

  • Framework contract for the supply of good practice services in ICT for citizens and business (SMART 2008-0109)

  • Two calls for tenders in the area of protecting critical infrastructures in the ICT sector

    These two open calls for tenders that will contribute in enhancing the Protection of Critical Infrastructures in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector are embedded within the EU programme on ‘Prevention, Preparedness and Consequence Management of Terrorism and other Security Related Risks’ for the period 2007-2013. This programme proposes accompanying financial measures for the implementation of EPCIP, the European Programme on Critical Infrastructure Protection, including sectors such as ICT, Energy, Nuclear Industry, Water, Food, Health etc. In this context, each year, specific public procurements are contracted.The two calls for tenders related to the ICT sector concern the public procurements of: 1) A study on measures to analyse and improve European emergency preparedness in the field of fixed and mobile telecommunications and Internet 2) A study to support the process to define sectoral criteria to identify European Critical Infrastructures in the ICT sector, with a particular focus on the sub-sectors of Internet, fixed and mobile telecommunications

  • Study on "Exploiting the Digital Dividend", a European Approach

    The study will assist the Commission in identifying and assessing the options and possible scenarios to achieve the required EU coordination of the digital dividend as outlined in the Commission Communication COM(2007) 799 on 'Reaping the full benefits of the digital dividend in Europe: A common approach to the use of the spectrum released by the digital switchover'. This will include as the main tasks: — drawing up an inventory of national situations affecting the digital dividend, — performing a socio-economic analysis to determine the potential social, cultural and economic impact of the main possible uses of the digital dividend, — identifying and assessing external constraints affecting the process of a coordinated usage of the dividend in Europe, — developing the main options and scenarios for the EU coordinated approach, — proposing a 'roadmap' for implementation, — assisting the Commission in its consultation of the various stakeholders and interested parties.

  • European directory of women and ICT
