The Safer Internet Forum (SIF) is an international conference where policy makers, researchers, law enforcement bodies, youth, parents and carers, teachers, NGOs, industry representatives, experts and other relevant actors come together to discuss the latest trends, risks and solutions related to child online safety. The Safer Internet Day is celebrated around the world for the 12th consecutive year. It is the flagship event of the Safer Internet Programme supported by the European Commission, reaching millions of people in over 100 countries. Around 250 participants from Europe and beyond - youth ambassadors, academics, industry, NGOs, the European Commission and Ministry representatives - will discuss future and emerging trends on child online safety.
Following the publication of the 2014 call for proposals for Safer Internet generic services under the Telecommunications sections of CEF an Information Day will be organised.
Any organisation interested in submitting a proposal, independently or as part of a consortium, under the Safer Internet generic services call for proposals is encouraged to participate.
The Info Day will be aimed at explaining new features and conditions for participation under CEF. Read more
An information day on the first three H2020 calls under the societal challenge "Secure societies - Protecting freedom and security of Europe and its citizens" will take place on 1 April 2014 in Brussels. Detailed call information, new H2020 features and networking opportunities for potential applicants are on the agenda. Registration for the event is open until 25 March, but will close when the number of participants reaches 300. Read more

The Safer Internet Forum is the main European Conference on online safety issues since 2004. It gives young people the opportunity to express how they see the internet and new technologies, what they mean for them and how they influence their lives. Parents' and teachers' representatives will also attend, together with many industry representatives, law enforcement authorities, child welfare organizations, researchers and policy makers. This year's theme of the event is "Creating together a Better Internet for Children and Young People". Read more
