The Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) opened its doors on February 11th with the participation of 20 EU supported films, 5 of which are shortlisted for the Golden and Silver Bears. The Berlinale also includes a showcase event presenting projects funded by the Creative Europe MEDIA programme and the European Film Forum with discussions between EU policymakers and the audiovisual industry. Commissioner Oettinger will announce events to mark the 25th anniversary of the MEDIA programme. Read more

The objective of the Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) is to outline a roadmap for the implementation of a research programme aiming at the development of European HPC technologies. The European Technology Platform for High Performance Computing (ETP4HPC) is seeking feedback on this document from the HPC community (until the end of June 2016). Comments received will be used by the ETP4HPC to prepare the next full version of its SRA, planned for July 2017. Read more
