The EU-funded RELIEF project aims to innovate chronic pain self-management through procuring the best digital solutions. They started an open market consultation, this way the consortium will get insight into the market, the state of the art and future developments. Today, Günther H. Oettinger, Commissioner for the Digital Economy and Society presented the 2016 Digital Skills Awards. Winners were selected from 258 projects in four categories, focusing on how to boost digital skills in the labour force, in education, amongst ICT professionals and for all citizens. Read more

The RELIEF buyers group composed by RESAH Ile-de-France (FR), Servicio andaluz de salud (ES) and Uppsala county (SE) is organising open market consultations with industry and researchers on 1, 9 and 14 December in Paris, Uppsala and Cordoba to prepare their upcoming joint pre-commercial procurement. RELIEF aims to find the best innovative ICT based solutions that empower chronic patients in communication with clinicians to self-manage and relieve current and future pains. The European Commission is collecting data from key public procurers with potential interest in procuring new innovative ICT based solutions in the coming years. The results will help to prioritise the allocation of funding for innovation procurement under the next Horizon 2020 Work Programme (2018 – 2020). A summary of the responses that were already received by mid-October 2016 has been published now. The survey remains open until end 2017 via the eafip website to cross-check in one year time if the funding priorities for 2019-2020 are still in line with the actualised procurement needs. Read more
