    The 2018 CEF Telecom Cybersecurity call makes an indicative €13 million of funding available for proposals that promote the alignment with the Network and Information Security (NIS) Directive of the capability of national CSIRTs (objective 1) and of Operators of Essential Services and Digital Service Providers (objective 2). The Call will open on 17 May and will close on 22 November. A virtual Info Day will take place on 17 May 2018.

    Donatella Castelli is the project coordinator of the European research project BlueBRIDGE: Building Research environments for fostering Innovation, Decision making, Governance and Education to support Blue Growth. Co-financed by the Research and Innovation programme of the European Union (EU) Horizon 2020, the project ran from September 2015 until February 2018 and received a total of EUR 5 million of EU funding.

    In order to increase investment and accelerate roll-out of high-speed broadband throughout the country, the German Broadband Competence Office (BCO) launched the Broadband Bus as part of a campaign of the Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure. In order to raise awareness and provide information, the bus tours the country offering workshops and technology exhibitions, focusing on the opportunities that digital economy may bring to citizens.
