As part of the Better Regulation initiative, the Commission collects feedback at the various stages of the EU policy development, including legislative proposals and their impact assessment. In September 2016, the Commission adopted the Connectivity Package which aim at ensuring that everyone in the EU will have the best possible internet connection to participate in the digital society and economy. The Package included inter alia the proposal for a Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing the European Electronic Communications Code (COM(2016) 590 final/2). Read more

'Sniffphone' is a module capable of analysing the user’s breath to detect as many as 17 diseases including early stage forms of some cancers. It was developed in a Horizon 2020 project and the developers aim to bring the sensor onto smartphones by August 2018. Read more

ENISA is the Agency of the European Union tasked with contributing to the enhancement of the overall level of cybersecurity of the EU and its Member States. This consultation kicks off the review of ENISA, whose current mandate will come to an end in 2020. The European Commission welcomes the views of all interested stakeholders on ENISA's past performances, as well as on a possible revision of its mandate in view of new challenges the EU faces in the cybersecurity field.
