In line with the recently adopted Network and Information Systems (NIS) Directive, important digital businesses ("digital service providers") will be required to take appropriate security measures and to notify incidents to the competent national authority. To specify further the elements and parameters related to security and notification requirements, the Commission is empowered to adopt an implementing act. The workshop will serve as a forum for interested stakeholders from the private sector and the Commission to discuss and exchange views on the possible content of this implementing act. Read more

Digital Day, the digital part of the official celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of the Treaties of Rome, will take place in Rome, on 23 March 2017. The event is organised by the European Commission - Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content & Technology (DG CONNECT) and Representation in Italy – in cooperation with the Italian government and under the auspices of the Maltese Presidency of the Council of the European Union. It will look at topics that impact the near and long term future of EU citizens. Read more

The Open Public Review (OPR) provides an engaged stakeholder community and the wider public the opportunity to give open and transparent feedback on the progress of European Commission funded research projects in emerging technologies in the public sector. By reviewing and scoring project deliverables and initial results, participants can provide valuable feedback to the project coordinators on initial objectives, future impact and potential.
