The International Workshop on Wearable Robotics (WeRob2014) will take place in Baiona (Spain) from 14 to 19 September 2014.

WeRob2014 is organised by the Bioengineering Group at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), the Cullen College of Engineering at the University of Houston, the Tecnológico de Monterrey, the University of Twente. International speakers from academia, government, industry, medical centers, and end users will discuss challenges and potential solutions leading to the development of wearable robotics technologies supporting advanced therapeutic interventions in major neurological diseases (e.g. Cerebrovascular Accidents, Spinal Cord Injury, Traumatic Brain Injury, Cerebral Palsy).

A number of European projects (BIOMOTSYMBITRON, BALANCE, CYBERLEGs, EXOLEGS, H2R) are clustering at this event to discuss topics of high interest to all stakeholders: Clinical Application Scenarios for Wearable Robots, Neural Interfacing with WRs, Design Challenges of Wearable Robots, Advanced Control Methods for WRs, Benchmarking, Regulatory aspects as well as Translational and Industrial/Market Challenges/Opportunities.

The call for contributions is still open (extended to 1st May). All the information and the preliminary agenda are available on WeRob2014 website.
