Study on MSS Authorisation Regimes and Authorisations in the EU Member States, SMART Nº 2011/0015, by Gerald Oberst, Hogan Lovells International LLP

The aim of this project is to gather information systemically and present a complete picture of regulations that apply in all 27 Member States, following adoption of Decision 626/2008/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on selection and authorisation of MSS systems; Decision 2009/49/EC on the selection of MSS operators; and in particular Decision 2011/667/EU on modalities for coordinated application of the rules on enforcement with regard to MSS. The project makes an inventory of the regulatory state of play for MSS/CGC authorisations across the EU in order to evaluate the progress in the implementation, at national level, of the MSS initiative achieved in two years following the Commission Selection Decision.
