In 2014, more than 1 billion EUR of EU funds will be available to support ICT under Horizon 2020. As part of LeWeb'13, a seminar is being held to explain what Horizon 2020 means for entrepreneurs and start-ups, including how they can access EU support and funding. It will contain information on upcoming calls for proposals, explain how new projects such as the SME instrument or new EU-funded accelerators will work, and will give participants the chance to ask questions and network.
The event will take place in Paris as part of LeWeb'13, one of the world's largest international conferences for start-ups and web entrepreneurs.
Horizon 2020 is the new financial instrument supporting research and innovation in Europe. With a budget of over 70 billion EUR the programme will run from 2014 to 2020. It is designed to be faster and simpler to access, aiming to reach out to a new constituency. Funding for ICT entrepreneurs is available under the Societal Challenges & LEIT branches of Horizon 2020.
