The seminar is organised by the European Commission, in cooperation with the European Economic and Social Committee and the Committee of Regions.

The seminar aims to collect your ideas, analyse the challenges and possible solutions you identify in order to define specific actions including the use of financial tools to optimise the setting up of ICT infrastructures, the implementation of digital applications for services focusing on facilitating growth and jobs.

Stakeholders representing the partner institutions highlighted the importance of the Digital Single Market, strong attachment to fair competition, better pricing and better infrastructure, stronger consumers' rights, secure and reliable electronic communication. There is proof that local actors are aware of digital tools, skills and infrastructures as an economical enabler for reinvigorating the European market and as a powerful driver of sustainable growth and employment.
