On the 27 & 28 May 2014, Thessaloniki, Greece, 25-30 upcoming entrepreneurs in mobile services and 25 corporate partners, venture capital investors and industry experts, interested in knowledge-sharing on strategic information, market opportunities and new business trends in the mobile and mobility services industry came togather at MOBIP.
Throughout this intensive two-day event, the focus was on facilitating communication between investors and high-growth potential startups, exploiting the prospective of business-to-business cooperation and improving access to large mobile corporations, venture capitalists and industry players as sources of partnering and investment. In order to achieve this, the most promising technology companies from the mobile services sector were selected to share their fresh perspective on the future of the industry. In return these businesses were given free access to the forum and a chance to present their company and product or service to an audience of experienced industry players and investors.
This keynote presentation highlights the various instruments for growth that are available for entrepreneurs and innovators. These instruments include the SME Instrument and the StartUp Europe initiative and Horizon 2020. Viorel Peca (DG CNECT - Innovation) also took part in the discussion on 'Bridges and valleys for start-up cross-border syndicated funding'.
