Barcelona, Spain

At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, you can find a complete overview of the mobile industry. The European Commission will also be there at Booth CS 74 to promote policy initiatives such as the Digital Single Market and the Alliance on Internet of Things Innovation.

Furthermore, the EC will present its cross-industry research on 5G, Internet of Things and smart mobility, showcasing some top research projects. A meeting room will be dedicated to high-level informal discussions.

Digital Health & Wellness summit

In parallel, the umbrella organisation European Connected Health Alliance (ECHAlliance) is organising its Digital Health & Wellness summit for the third time. This event will involve a series of 4-days plenary sessions, interactive workshops, showcase innovations, personalised sites visits and B2B meetings, focusing on key areas of the eHealth sector.

Entrepreneurs and SMEs will have a main role in this 2016 event with:

  • free entrance for the winners of the Investors Challenge 2016, a competition focused on innovative eHealth SMEs and startups;
  • dedicated sessions for start-ups/SMEs and investors.

Investors Challenge 2016

The Investors Challenge 2016 competition, also organised by ECHAlliance, will award three winners with free registration for the Digital Health & Wellness Summit @ Mobile World Congress 2016 and a speaking slot during the plenary conference. Winners will also receive a free ECHAlliance membership for one year, and support for pitching opportunities across the ECHAlliance International Network of Ecosystems.

The best 24 candidates will have the opportunity to present their project during the Innovation Showcasing sessions at the summit. Each candidature will be analysed by an experts and investors panel.

Deadline to submit applications: 31 December.
