The project "Intelligent Dynamics for Fully Electric Vehicles" (ID4FEV) focused on the development innovative brake and chassis (suspension) systems for the needs of fully electric vehicles while conducting vehicle level development and optimisation with a network system approach that also includes adapted Human-Machine-Interface (HMI) concepts. The project provided thoroughly designed and tested electrified brake and chassis systems that lead to a high user/customer acceptance and driver comfort while improving the energy efficiency of the vehicle system including regenerative braking. A further relevant realisation is the implementation of safety concepts to minimize the hazards in case of system malfunction.
