In two recent posts, Hanne Melin, Policy Strategy Counsel EMEA at eBay Inc, shares her ideas with the CoP Community on “innovation in regulation”.

She underlines how innovation, such as modern data analytics and decision-making techniques, has benefitted many business sectors while they have not yet been used to transform the regulatory process. She suggests that it is time for the next step of governance reform at EU level, which involves redefining certain parameters of governance as well as the role of the policymaker, and underlines the importance of starting experimenting with new ways of formulating and implementing public policy.
