The MAFEIP tool was originally developed in order to monitor the impact of the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing towards its objectives but is of benefit to just about any promoter of innovation in the area of active and healthy ageing as it allows them to perform an early and iterative assessment of innovations' cost-effectiveness at various stages of the development process. MAFEIP supports informed decisions about the future design of technology choices. By reducing uncertainty, MAFEIP represents a clear support to the decision-making process.
