The FIA Steering Committee has launched an open call to select up to nine FIA working sessions within the scope of the 11th FIA, organised 18-20 March 2014 in Athens to coincide with the Greek Presidency of the European Union. FIA 2014 will focus on reshaping the Future Internet infrastructure for innovation, based on developments in, for example, network/cloud integration, network virtualisation trends, software and services for networks, applications and social media, energy-saving trends, and open platforms and new markets. FIA 2014 will also explore how Public-Private Partnerships are preparing for this ‘Future Internet of innovation’ and related demo and test-bed developments in Europe and beyond. The Committee is keen to receive forward-looking, inspiring proposals from industry experts, academia and research institutes. Ideas for new sessions involving experienced speakers who can stimulate discussion and offer creative, cross-cutting approaches to help stakeholders and entrepreneurs roll out research and technological innovation.
