50 ICT start-ups will assemble in Dublin on 3rd and 4th November to participate in the Silicon Stroll Bootcamp, to pitch their ideas to investors and meet one-on-one with major ICT corporations. This two-day event, in association with the Dublin Web Summit, will consist of one day discussing ‘future insights, trends and innovations’ with tech giants Google, PayPal and IBM. Day two will provide the opportunity for head-to-head competitive pitch battles before an audience of investors, including members of the entrepreneurial community and investment preparation specialists.
130 companies have put themselves forward for selection in the European-wide competition. This is managed by the European Investor Gate (EIG), an EU project promoting international investment in ICT start-ups. The 50 most investable start-ups are drawn from across 13 European countries, including the UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Italy, Cyprus, Greece, Belgium and Ireland.
The event will also host entrepreneurial workshops, led by investment preparation specialists and members of the EIG project – Go Beyond, Media Deals, BPI France, bwcon and the Dublin Business Innovation Centre.
