The Digital Action Day 2014 (DAD 2014) is organised by the European Commission in the context of the Digital Agenda for Europe. The event will focus on how to bring better digital aspects into traditional EU industries and other policy areas (such as transport, energy, education, health, etc.), but also to show how the EU can succeed in digital transformation. It will be a unique opportunity to influence future policy regarding the digital economy and its evolution.

DAD 2014 is a one-day event consisting of a plenary session and parallel thematic workshops. The workshops will focus on Industrial Digital Strategy; SMEs and digital entrepreneurship; Civic engagement, smart cities and smart government; Digital opportunities in the media sector; Digital skills, education, training and jobs; and the Digital Single Market
Online engagement activities will be launched ahead of the event to host thematic discussions among stakeholders and stimulate the debate. More information on this and further details on the programme will be available on our website in due course.
Live coverage of the event will also be provided via web-streaming.
