Mobile Communications on board Aircraft (MCA) is a system which allows air passengers to use their own mobile devices on board aircraft. Currently, MCA is available onboard over 200 aircraft flying over EU territory; most of them are aircraft which fly for non-EU airlines.

In 2008, the European Commission introduced rules to harmonise conditions for the take-off of GSM (2G) in the 1800MHz band pan-European mobile communication services on board aircraft.
