BU25, Room S1, 24/10/2014 (9h00-18h00)
Both EU and Taiwan have launched ambitious 5G research and development initiatives. The event takes place in the context of preparatory consultation for the next phases of implementation of the Horizon 2020 programme. This workshop will help identify Taiwan and EU projects with similar scopes and objectives to favour "twinning" and information exchanges for the mutual benefits of the running activities. This better knowledge of stakeholders and of their running activities is expected to trigger beneficial links towards fruitful exchanges on both sides in the short term.
The workshop will also help identify a limited and focused set of research issues of common interest in the medium term for the two regions which may form the basis of collaborative projects contributed by partners of the two sides.
The workshop will be kicked-off with a plenary meeting, followed by two parallel sessions in the morning ('Innovative 5G Architectures and Systems' & '5G Experiments and Test-beds') and two other parallel sessions in the afternoon (' SDN/NFV' & 'Advanced 5G Technologies').
