Transforming Industry & Economy (Hall X4)
Stand number: T15
COROMA proposes to develop a cognitively enhanced robot that can execute multiple tasks for the manufacturing of metal and composite parts. Currently, there are many limitations with industrial robots used in repetitive manufacturing operations which COROMA aims to overcome. Through minimum programming effort from the human operator, set-up time can be reduced by 20%. The robot will autonomously navigate around, learn from previous experiences to improve performance and will automatically react in accordance with humans and other machines for a safe and efficient collaboration. It can be customized to specific needs to provide the flexibility that European metalworking and advanced material manufacturing companies require competing in a rapidly-evolving global market. The modular robotic system is intended for sectors as demanding as aeronautics, shipbuilding and energy generation
