Matchmaking Industry with the European Open Science Cloud
Room 0.94-0.95, 05/12/2018 (10:00-10:45)
This session is designed to 1) showcase how publicly funded e-Infrastructure services and research data can be exploited by private industry to develop innovative solutions and bring them to market 2) facilitate matchmaking between industry and the European Open Science Cloud implementation project called EOSC-hub.
The EOSC-hub project, funded under the EC Horizon 2020 programme, brings together more than 100 partners from major cloud, grid, HPC and data infrastructure providers, software and domain-specific providers, large research communities as well as industry, to create a single contact point for European researchers and innovators to discover, access, use and reuse a broad spectrum of resources for advanced data-driven research.
The project has already onboarded 6 companies that are piloting a variety of services such as software or platforms as a service in different domains like sport and biomedicine, cybersecurity, and environmental issues.
Advantages include, but are not limited to, access to e-Infrastructure services, the wealth of data produced by the research community and expertise and support; coaching and training to accelerate market uptake and exploitation of results; visibility on an international scale.
If you are looking for new opportunities to advance your business, we invite you to join our session to learn more and directly engage with EOSC-hub representatives and other companies to identify how you can become part of the European Open Science Cloud.
