Towards Next Generation European Digital Cyber-Robustness and Cybersecurity
Room 2.31, 05/12/2018 (11:30-12:15)
Our security and privacy is currently threatened on a unprecedented scale. An insecure future with no privacy is not science fiction any more and it greatly concerns several societal as well as industrial sectors, in particular those who are currently – or will in the future – rapidly move towards their digitalization and their digital transformation in a wide sense.
This networking session concerns on future research and innovation necessary in the topics of the visions of selected sectors in cybersecurity and privacy. It lays on top of the following three pillars,
1. New theoretical approaches for conceptualization.
2. Current and arising necessities imposed by industrial sectors.
3. Concrete requirements within a social setting.
The backbone of our section will be the associated efforts presented in a vision paper entitled “Digitisation of the electricity system and customer participation – Digital Cybersecurity Recommendations” and prepared by European Technology & Innovation Platform for Smart Energy Networks (ETIP SNET) https://www.etip-snet.eu Working Group 4.
During the session, selected speakers will provide
a) impulse statements on the visions presented in the referenced paper,
b) perspectives (future policy, past and present research, or future ideas) from other than Energy sectors,
c) opportunities to form a clear global common vision and roadmap and
d) proposals for realizable demonstrations.
