InnoHPC – creating an innovative environment for SMEs in the field of HPC

Considering the importance of the growth potential of the European Digital Economy and Deeper Economic Union, connection between different stakeholders is elemental for boosting collaboration and develop new partnerships for research and innovation.
The main objective of the session is to connect relevant stakeholders from the automotive and electronics industries with relevant High Performance Computing (HPC) providers and policy makers. Additionally, it will provide transnational access and support to enterprises from the automotive and electronic industries to be utilised in development of innovative high value-added products with the use of HPC. On one hand, within the session the focus will be on using HPC technology to solve problems of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), on communicating SMEs’ problems to researchers in academia, build SMEs’ understanding of HPC and its possible applications, build intercultural competencies required to co-operate in the framework of transnational value chains and also train their researchers to use HPC skills. On the other hand, the stakeholders will talk about researchers’ competencies, translating business problems to scientific language and to develop entrepreneurial spirit of researchers
