(Em)Power Girls for the 21st Century!

Since the Leadersʼ Declaration G7 Summit, 7-8 June 2015 the promotion of women's economic empowerment in Europe through entrepreneurship, education and employment specifically in STEM areas has gained considerable momentum.Girls are energized and motivated to learn by doing and finding a social mission in an inspiring community. ECWT and its members, celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2018, desire to share good examples of digital transformation through showcasing some EU projects and activities led by ESA, Mobile World Capital Barcelona and ECWT with the goal (i) to recruit more girls to STEM careers, (ii) to support more STEM entrepreneurs and startups, (iii) to initiate more AI and robotics driving the edge of innovation (iv) to safeguard the gender dimension of future space research and (v) present success stories of MWC Barcelona´s d-Lab Challenges, the EIT Innovation Award and Women's STEM Entrepreneurship. The session will be moderated by Alex Barrera, Founder and Editor of Tech.EU.
