Delivering Digital Skills and Learning

Session 4T - Auditorium 8, 21/10/2015 (09:00-10:30)

This session is part of the Transform track.

This session will explore the role of technologies to deliver Digital Skills: how ICT can help deliver the training and learning needed to acquire digital skills, in the workplace and through formal education.

Specialised digital skills (eg. for big data, robotics, cloud computing, etc.) are crucial for future as well as for current work forces who need to acquire the right skills for career advancements or to move into new jobs in their working life.

The session will also discuss the importance of re-skilling - how to optimally prepare workforces for it – the impact on society and how it can strengthen the digital economy.
