Graphene-Based Revolutions in ICT and Beyond.
The world’s premier research initiative devoted to graphene is Europe’s Graphene Flagship. This disruptive technology is set to have a massive impact on human society.
The structure of graphite was first identified in Europe. Manchester University scientists A. Geim and K. Novoselov shared the Nobel Prize in 2010 for their work on graphene. Since then, graphene research in Europe has continued apace.
The Graphene Flagship exhibition stand will illustrate graphene and groundbreaking experiments related to it. Visitors will be able to test the simplicity of the scientific discovery and envisage outstanding potential applications to make a massive impact on human society.
The exhibition will show the rapid transformation of a curiosity driven research into applications and commercial products: tennis raquets, light bulbs, flexible screens, sensors, membrane for water filtration and many more.
