ICT Proposers' Day 2016

QWANT is the European alternative to Web search. Qwant’s mission is to strengthen trust and transparency on the Web by putting the privacy of its users’ data first and providing a holistic, unbiased search experience. Qwant disrupts the search engine market with a technology that creates an independent index, puts data privacy first, abides by European data protection directives and additional requirements under French and German law. Created in 2011, Qwant launched its first version in France in May 2013. March 2014 was launched in Germany. July 2014 Axel Springer Digital Ventures invested about €5 millions in Qwant. December 2015 the EIB granted Qwant a 25 millions investment plan to support Qwant independant european search engine.
