Horizon 2020 stimulates SME participation across the whole programme, yet with a particular focus on close-to-market support. According to its legal base and the European Commission, Horizon 2020 aims to increase SME participation which is promoted by the dedicated SME Instrument, but should be extended and valuable also in other actions.
This workshop will explore approaches, risks and opportunities that can help SMEs align their innovation strategy and increase their competitiveness through Horizon 2020. It will feature SMEs who are successfully participating in collaborative actions (both early stage and well-established SMEs), as well as other actors who interact with them in H2020 projects (evaluators).
The SMEs will present their experience and important lessons learnt, as a way to inspire and help proposers, linking them in a dialogue with the main support networks (Idealist, Enterprise Europe Network, Access4SMEs) that provide tools for increasing their participation.
Target group:SMEs, policy makers, NCPs, evaluators etc.
Registration: not required
This workshop will be coordinated by Idealist and jointly co-organized with the European Commission. For further information about activities, such as the Face2Face brokerage event organised at ICT 2016 by Ideal-ist, visit: http://www.ideal-ist.eu/event/ict-proposers-day-2016
