Paolo Guglia holds an M.Sc. in Engineering from the University of Trieste and a Master in Business Administration of Energy Industry from ENI Corporate University.
For the last 15 years, he has been working at Fincantieri as R&D Manager dealing with European projects and R&D policies and programmes. He has taken part in 15 EU projects of five EU different programmes (H2020, LIFE+, EDA-PADR, FP7, FP6), serving as a Project Coordinator of the large integrated project BESST (FP7) with 69 partners and a budget of €39m.
He is Technical Director of the European Technological Platform WATERBORNE and chair of the Maritime Working Group of Hydrogen Europe.
He is a member of the plenary of the European Sustainable Shipping Forum (ESSF) appointed by DG MOVE, and national expert within the Programme Committee H2020 for the configuration Smart Green and Integrated Transport, appointed by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MIUR).
He is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Naval Architects (FRINA) and a certified PMP from the PMI.
