BioSense Institute - Serbia
Professor Vesna Bengin is the co-founder and Assistant Director for Research at the BioSense Institute and a Full Professor at the Department for Physics, Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Serbia.
She is the coordinator of Horizon2020 project ANTARES, ranked as the first in the most prestigious H2020 call Teaming, which aims to evolve BioSense Institute into a market-oriented European Centre of research excellence. She obtained her Ph.D. in 2006 from the University of Novi Sad in the field of microelectronics, and has led or participated in 11 FP7, five Horizon2020 and many other research projects. She authored more than 90 scientific papers and published two books with world-renowned publishers.
Professor Bengin is the recipient of a number of national and international awards including the special award granted by the European Commission ‘’Marie Curie Actions for an Innovative Europe: Excellence, mobility and skills for researchers’’. She is a mother of three.
