Dr. Ing. Richard Blundell graduated in 1993 with bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Malta. Following a brief period working in industry, he furthered his studies and obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Malta in 2001.
Dr. Blundell has extensive experience in practicing his profession mainly in industry and held several posts. In 2016, he joined the Malta Council for Science and Technology as a Strategy and Policy Executive, where he is responsible for a number of dossiers, including the Open Science and Innovation. Dr. Blundell is the lead delegate on the European Research Area and Innovation Committee (ERAC) Standing Working Group on Open Science and Innovation.
