Workshop – “Digital 4 Planet”
Date: 13/06/2019 (10:00-12:30)
This workshop will introduce and discuss with participants topics that lie at the intersection of digital technologies and sustainability. The first session will focus on the various ways digital innovation and solutions can contribute to tackle climate change and support environment policies related to circular economy, quality of life (clean air/water) and protection of nature and biodiversity. The second part will address existing ICTs, asking how the ICT sector itself can become greener by reducing its energy consumption (e.g. of the data centers) and how to minimise e-waste.
