Getting to Budapest

Budapest can be reached by plane, by train, by bus or by car. From Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (Budapest Airport) there are several ways to travel to the city centre.

  • Public bus lines: Bus number 200E commutes between Terminal 2 and the metro station Kőbánya-Kispest. From there passengers can take the metro to Deák Ferenc tér.
  • Taxis: taxi services transport passengers between the terminals and Budapest. The fare from the airport to the city centre costs approximately 6500 HUF (22 EUR). Credit cards are generally accepted. It is advised to use licensed taxi services offered at the airport.
  • Shuttle bus: a service is available from the airport to the city centre.


Should you require accommodation, the Hungarian Ministry of National Development (MND) provides a choice of hotels at preferential rates for the ICT Proposers' Day 2017.
