Panos Trahanias is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science, University of Crete, and the head of the Computational Vision and Robotics Laboratory at FORTH (Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas). Previously he was affiliated with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Toronto, Canada, and was a consultant to SPAR Aerospace Ltd., Toronto. Since 1993 he has been at the University of Crete and FORTH, engaged in research and RTD projects in human-robot interaction, visual tracking of humans and objects, artificial systems with emphasis on time perception and processing, and autonomous robotic navigation. Professor Trahanias has acted as coordinator, scientific coordinator and principal investigator of many successful EU and national projects, including the TimeStorm project.
