The stakeholder workshop "European 5G Observatory – Is Europe ready for 5G?" will take place in Brussels (Conference Centre Albert Borschette) on Friday, 17 May 2019 from 10:00-16:00. The workshop will be the opportunity to review the main findings of the first phase of the 5G Observatory and discuss the next steps to ensure the implementation of the 5G Action Plan.
The event consists of coordinated activities at regional, national and international level to increase awareness and understanding of the importance of light and photonics technologies in current and future society.

HeartMan is a research project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme that developed a personal health system to help patients with congestive heart failure manage their disease.
The project's final conference will take place Renaissance Brussels Hotel on Wednesday 24 April 2019.
This symposium will cover self-management technology for chronic heart failure. The aims of the HeartMan project will be outlined and the findings of the HeartMan trial reported, with one of the participants in the HeartMan clinical trial discussing his/her personal experience of the system. The event will also cover political aspects and commercial perspectives on eHealth and self-management technology. HeartMan is co-funded by the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme of the EU and aims to design a personal health system to help patients with Congestive Heart Failure to manage their condition.
