This workshop will address the following questions: How to make research data management policies work? How to manage and share Spatiotemporal Research Data? Open Data in a Big Data World: easy to say, but hard to do?

The workshop on Research Data Management “Make research data management policies work” is organised by the EU-funded project LEARN (Leaders Activating Research Networks) on 28 June 2016 in Helsinki.

LEARN workshops are designed to encourage all stakeholders – research funders, organisations and decision makers, researchers, library and IT staff – to explore their roles and responsibilities in the process of developing policies for Research Data Management. The workshop in Helsinki will present the work carried out by the project and provide a forum for discussion and the exchange of advice, ideas and views in the effective implementation of RDM policies.

The morning session will be devoted to lectures by keynote speakers, whereas the afternoon session will be devoted to breakout groups, where best practices and case studies will be identified and discussed. It will be closed by a round table with several expert panellists who will discuss on the requirements for putting RDM policies into practice.

We invite you to take a look at the preliminary programme, and register using our online registration form.
