The event is addressed to public procurers, industry, ISOs, and policy makers. It will present the prototype of the European Catalogue of Standards for ICT Procurement. The objective of the European Catalogue is to provide a one-stop-shop at the EU level to support and guide public procurers when referring to ICT standards and profiles of standards in their call for tenders.
In the workshop we will discuss with panels and audience the key developments that EU Catalogue will bring in relation to key procurement issues such as:
- How to improve ICT purchasing in the EU?
- How to make the best of digital technologies for public services in context of constant technological evolution?
- How to increase exchanges between public procurers?
We will discuss the role of standards and costs – including interoperability costs, and costs linked to vendor lock-in.
