The European Commission - Communication Networks, Content and Technology Directorate-General (DG Connect) – selected Ernst & Young and the Danish Technological Institute (DTI) as Contractor to carry out a Study on eGovernment and the Reduction of Administrative Burden (ABR). The Study has two main objectives:
- to raise awareness among the stakeholders on the best practices and the costs and benefits of implementing the “once only” principle while designing eGovernment services
- to help Member States on how to implement this “once only” principle and on how to make electronic procedures the dominant channel for delivering eGovernment services.
We are therefore pleased to invite you to participate in a one-day workshop. The workshop will be held in Brussels on Wednesday 10th July 2013 at Directorate General Communications Networks, Content and Technology premises.
This workshop will present the preliminary findings of the project in terms of mapping and identifying “once only” principle good practices. Thus, it will stimulate discussions on these issues between both governmental and non-governmental stakeholders, such as business organizations and consumer/citizens organizations. Its outcome will be taken into account by the Contractor during the further course of the study.
