Guidance from the Virtual Coach
Recommendations and goals are provided after performing an assessment of the status for determining the probability of a given disease expression. Guidance and follow-up is provided by the Virtual Coach developed in WellCo. This consists of an affective-aware coach that is always active and interacts through speech with the user in order to:
- act as a virtual interface between the user and the platform managing the flow of all user-platform and platform-user interactions
- empower users in their behaviour change process through simulation activities tailored to their current mood.
The service followed-up and continuously supported by a multidisciplinary team of experts as well as users’ close caregivers who provide clinical evidence and knowledge about the user to ensure effectiveness and accuracy of the change interventions.
Over four years, the WellCo partners aim to provide a novel ICT-based platform for Well-being, including a health virtual coach for behavior change. These tools will be using personalized intervention techniques that drive people to successful behaviour change actions and lead to a healthier lifestyle.
