To celebrate Europe Day, the EU institutions in Brussels will open their doors to the public. The European Commission Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content & Technology (DG CONNECT) will host a stand dedicated to coding and technology, as well as robotics.

Visit DG CONNECT's #Tech4EU stand at the European Commission's Open Doors event on 28 May. Check out the young Belgium CoderDojo coaches at work and witness live what they are creating with code. Or let them help you programme your own interactive story, game or animation in Scratch – a visual coding language.

Techies Lab Belgium invites kids and teenagers to experiment, learn and play with technology, such as robots, games and 3D printing. Every hour between 11.00 and 16.00 visitors of all ages can take part in epic coding tournaments. No coding skills needed – just sign up in advance! Teams will be provided with all the material necessary and given a precise coding challenge. The winning team will receive a techie award and all participants will get a badge.

Don't miss to say hello to our robot friend GrowMeUp and perhaps take a selfie? GrowMeUp is designed to make older people stay active, independent and socially involved. He can interact with people of all ages though and answers questions. Give it a try!

We also celebrate the 10th anniversary of the .eu Internet domain. Find out more about the history of .eu – the Internet extension for all EU citizens, companies and organisation.

Last, but not least, take a #Tech4EUpicture of yourself and post it on Instagram. Show your friends you dig digital!
