The 15 most promising European digital solutions for older people to participate fully in social life have been identified.

Now the 15 semi-finalists will submit a detailed business plan to the judging panel, after which the judges will select five finalists to attend the AAL Forum in Bilbao, Spain, in September 2018. At the Forum, a €35,000 first prize, €10,000 second prize and €5,000 judges’ choice award will be announced.

The annual Smart Ageing Prize is being organised by the Active and Assisted Living (AAL) Programme together with Nesta’s Challenge Prize Centre. They received 95 applications responding to the brief for 'products and services that use innovative digital technologies to support older people to participate fully in social life'.
