The Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition Conference 2017 will take place on 7 December in Brussels and will bring digital skills actors together to celebrate the joint achievements of the Coalition in its first year. At the conference, Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, will outline her vision on policies for the future development of digital skills.

European Digital Skills Awards 2017 will be announced at the conference.

Commissioner Gabriel will launch the new "Digital Opportunity" pilot scheme for traineeships in digital and present the European Digital Skills Awards 2017 for outstanding projects that have increased the digital skills of European citizens.

The conference will also include plenary panels on labour market transformation and host parallel workshops on digital skills for young people, digital skills for digitally fluent citizens and digital skills for enterprises.

The conference will stage an exhibition where winners and runners-up of the European Digital Skills Awards, as well as other digital skills best-practices, will be displayed.
