INCEPTION

Are you interested in seeing how historic buildings were used in the past and how they evolved over the centuries? INCEPTION makes it possible to explore cultural heritage by creating 3D models of buildings that researchers and potential visitors can use.

U_CODE

The aim of U_CODE (Urban Collective Design Environment) is to enable citizens to participate in designing the cities they live in, by creating online platforms to share opinions and ideas. The shaping of the urban realm will become a democratic process in which all civic stakeholders participate as co-creators and co-designers.

MY HEALTH MY DATA

My Health My Data (MHMD) aims to use blockchain technology to enable medical data to be stored and transmitted safely and effectively. It encourages hospitals to start making anonymised information available for open research, while prompting citizens to become the ultimate owners and controllers of their health data.

SOUND OF VISION

SOUND OF VISION built a wearable device that uses sound and touch sensors to help visually impaired people move independently, indoors or outside.

INVID

In a world of ‘fake news’, it is becoming more and more important to verify content before publishing it. INVID is building tools to detect, authenticate and check the reliability and accuracy of video files and video content spread via social media.

SMART-TRUST

Smart-Trust is developing ways for travellers to verify their identity digitally via mobile devices - eliminating the need for physical passport checks and creating a complete paperless travel experience.

LUMINOUS

Could computers someday interact directly with the human brain?  In order to move towards that goal, LUMINOUS is modelling brain function in computers and working with human subjects to study the nature of consciousness itself.

FUTURE BATTERIES

Expanding energy storage options could transform our use of renewable energy and help to advance the clean energy transition.
