Photonics in Horizon 2020 Fostering Economic Growth in Europe

On 29 and 30 April 2013 will be held Photonics21 Annual Event 2013 with representatives from the industry and the European Commission. The main discussion will be on the role Photonics has in Fostering Economic Growth in Europe. Michael Mertin, the New President of Photonics21 will talk about the Future of Photonics in Europe. The European Commission Vice-President, responsible for the Digital Agenda, Neelie Kroes, will give a keynote speech. Khalil Rouhana, Director, DG CONNECT, European Commission will provide the latest information about Photonics in Horizon 2020. High-level panel discussions and a networking dinner are foreseen with the European Photonics Community.

The event will provide you latest information on Horizon2020 and the further development towards a Photonics Public Private Partnership. Another major highlight will be the publication of the photonics strategic roadmap. In addition to this the Photonics21 Annual Meeting 2013 provides you the opportunity to meet and network with your colleagues of the European photonics community.
